How It Works
On location. I come to you – your home, your yard, a favorite park, wherever is meaningful to you. Most people choose to have their photos taken in their home. Although you’ll want the house to look "cleaner than usual," don’t hire a cleaning crew or lose sleep over it, your house is your house with all its flaws and virtues. You can change your clothes as often as you like – from jeans to a ball gown.
Have fun and don’t sweat it! Don’t worry about every expression being perfect. I’ll take lots of shots – we’ll keep the good ones and toss the not-so-good ones. You’ll probably get a dozen or so "keepers" – portraits that are you, but even more interesting than you expect.
Suggestions.
* Avoid clothing with writing or brand names, you don’t want to look like an ad.
* Watch for clashing colors. Someone in pink next to someone in orange might look distracting.
* Share your ideas: If you have an idea for a shot, let’s hear it. One idea can spark another; you never know which one will be your favorite.
